Silica-based aminopropyl columns are crucial for separating carbohydrates in normal-phase chromatography. However, traditional aminopropyl columns have a significant drawback: the ligand undergoes hydrolysis when exposed to water, leading to rapid retention loss and column bleeding.
The newly developed Unison UK-Amino stationary phase addresses these challenges with an innovative design that combines aminopropyl functionality with exceptional water durability. This design ensures robust analytical performance, high resolution due to 3μm particle size, and minimal noise levels in LC-MS and LC-ELSD applications.
Furthermore, it offers high versatility by enabling the separation of various non-carbohydrate compounds in both non-aqueous and aqueous normal-phase modes.
