LC-MS/MS Analysis of Water-Soluble Vitamins

Highly polar water-soluble vitamins are challenging to retain on ODS columns, and LC-MS analysis without ion-pair reagents is even more difficult.

The Unison UK-C18 column is designed for use with 100% aqueous mobile phases. This application demonstrates that the following water-soluble vitamins can be analyzed by LC-MS/MS using a formic acid-based gradient elution:

Thiamine, ascorbic acid, pyridoxine, nicotinamide, pantothenic acid, folic acid, riboflavin, biotin
