Evaluation of Multi-Mode ODS Stationary Phase Using a Multi-Component Test Mix

Rapid LC-MS analysis is crucial in DMPK research, but traditional ODS columns have limitations in retaining highly polar substances.

Using a test mix of 10 compounds to compare three types of columns, it was found that the dual ion-exchange multi-mode column Scherzo SM-C18 could separate all compounds, unlike core-shell ODS columns and CN columns. With optimized analysis conditions, high-speed analysis of these compounds in 5 minutes was also possible.

The Scherzo ODS column proves effective in the field of drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics, where fast LC-MS analysis is required.
