Non-Targeted Metabolomics Using Hybrid ODS Column and LC-QTOF MS
A method for non-targeted metabolite profiling in cancer research was developed using LC-QTOF MS and the hybrid ODS Cadenza HS-C18 column. By simply filtering urine samples and injecting them into the column, a large number of MS peaks can be easily obtained. This approach enables profiling of patients versus healthy individuals through biomarker identification using databases and multivariate analysis.
Cadenza HS-C18 is an ODS column with a surface design that prevents the adsorption of proteins with molecular weights greater than 30,000 Da. The method does not require complex pre-treatment, thereby enhancing the efficiency of biomarker discovery.
