Development of a Rapid, Non-Derivatized LC-MS/MS Method for Simultaneous Analysis of 39 Amino Acids in Food
A non-labeled analysis method was developed for the simultaneous analysis of 39 free amino acids found in bonito flakes, pork, and wine using high-sensitivity LC-MS/MS (Shimadzu LCMC-8050), achieving analysis within 10 minutes. Sensitivity, reproducibility, and linearity were generally good, depending on the type of amino acid.
Development of a Rapid, Non-Derivatized LC-MS/MS Quantitative Method for 20 Amino Acids in Food
Using the non-labeled amino acid analysis column Intrada Amino Acid and a high-speed mass spectrometer (Shimadzu LCMS-8050), a rapid method for analyzing 20 free amino acids in food was developed. The simple method using an acetonitrile mobile phase system allows for the quantification of amino acids in sports drinks, sake, beer, and mirin.
Analysis of Polar Compounds' Impurities Without Using Ion Pair Reagents
For aminoglycoside antibiotics (neomycin and kanamycin) and their impurities, high-sensitivity analysis was achieved using the multi-mode ODS column Scherzo SM-C18 and Shimadzu LCMS-2020.
Analysis of Water-Soluble Vitamins Using LCMS-2020 with Ion-Exchange ODS Columns
For water-soluble vitamins, a high-quantitative method was developed using the multi-mode ODS column Scherzo SM-C18 and Shimadzu's high-sensitivity LC-MS, LCMS-2020. This method has also been applied to commercially available nutritional supplements.
Analysis of Proteins and Peptides by LC-MS
Using Shimadzu LCMS-2010EV, deconvolution of multi-charged ion mass spectra allowed for the molecular weight measurement of proteins (myoglobin). Additionally, peptide mapping with Cadenza CD-C18 clarified amino acid sequences.
LC-MS Analysis of Aflatoxins
Aflatoxins (G2, G1, B2, B1), a type of mycotoxin, were analyzed with high sensitivity using an LC-MS method adhering to official standards. The combination of Shimadzu LCMS-2010A and Cadenza CD-C18 provided excellent linearity from 0.5 ppb to 100 ppb.
