Presto FF-C18

Development of Ionized Mass Tags with Iodoacetyl Skeleton for Enhanced Detection Sensitivity of Cysteine-Containing Peptides by MALDI-TOF MS

The authors developed six new ionized mass tags that bind to cysteine residues, enabling high-sensitivity analysis of peptides. The characteristics of these tags were analyzed using MALDI TOF-MS (AXIMA Performance, Shimadzu). As a result, binding the new mass tags to peptides such as insulin and amyloid β achieved a sensitivity improvement of approximately 2 to 200 times.

For peptide fractionation when applying this method to serum peptidome analysis, the non-porous ODS column Presto FF-C18 is used.

Non-porous Presto FF-C18 has advantages in improving the recovery rate of trace peptides.
