LC-MS/MS Analysis Based on the Notification Method for Haloacetic Acids

For haloacetic acids (MCAA, DCAA, TCAA), LC-MS/MS analysis was performed in accordance with the notification method using an Agilent 1200 series HPLC, Agilent 6460 Triple MS, and an Imtakt Unison UK-C18 (150x4.6mm, 3μm) column. As a result, good linearity was obtained in the range of 2-200 ppb. Additionally, the recovery rate for a 2 ppb spiked sample in tap water was satisfactory. The column was also verified to be suitable for large-volume injections of 50μL.

The high-polarity compatible column Unison UK-C18, along with the Agilent LC-MS/MS system, is expected to be active in the field of environmental analysis.


Intrada Amino Acid

LC-MS Analysis of Intact Amino Acids

The Intrada Amino Acid column, dedicated to the LC-MS analysis of intact, non-derivatized amino acids, is compatible with various LC-MS systems. Using the Agilent 1260 Infinity LC System and Agilent 6130 Single Quad LCMS System, we validated the analysis of 20 proteinogenic amino acids and free amino acids in soy sauce. Using a 50μM standard amino acid solution, high-sensitivity analysis was achieved even with single MS detection. Additionally, free amino acids in soy sauce diluted 500 times were successfully analyzed under these conditions.

Agilent high-sensitivity Single Quad MS and the Intrada Amino Acid column are expected to be applied to amino acid analysis without the need for derivatization.
