Column Comparison for Metabolite Profiling
In mass spectrometry-based metabolomics analysis, many endogenous metabolites are highly polar, making it difficult to retain them on conventional ODS columns.
The authors compared columns for 31 metabolomics-related compounds and demonstrated that the dual ion-exchange multi-mode ODS column Scherzo SM-C18 could retain and analyze more compounds than other columns.
Scherzo SM-C18 proves to be effective in metabolomics analysis.
