FEATURES
Allows LC-MS analysis of organic acids without derivatization
Capable of analyzing organic acids other than carboxylic acids and inorganic acids (*)
General organic acids can be measured within 10 minutes
Columns for high-throughput analysis in less than 1 minute are also available
In recent years, we have developed a groundbreaking analysis column that enables convenient and selective organic acid analysis using widely adopted universal LC-MS technology. This column represents the world's first silica-based dedicated column for organic acid analysis. By eliminating the need for complex derivatization, most organic acids can be analyzed via LC-MS within 10 minutes.
Introducing ion ligands onto the silica substrate allows highly polar organic acids to be eluted in ion-exchange mode. Using normal-phase mode, even strongly acidic polyacids can be eluted.
This column enables the analysis not only of organic acids but also of phosphate compounds like inorganic phosphoric acids and ATP.
(*)CAUTION
This product is a column for the analysis of organic acids specifically designed for LC-MS applications.
Due to the necessity of gradient elution, UV detectors and conductivity detectors cannot be used.
ELSD is also not recommended due to difficulties in substance identification.
This product does not guarantee the analysis of all organic acids including isomers. Zwitterionic compounds such as amino acids are not within the scope.
Analytical sensitivity depends on compound structure and mass spectrometry performance. Particularly, desolvation temperature affects MS sensitivity.
Peak shapes may be influenced by sample matrix effects. It is necessary to optimize sample pretreatment, sample dissolution solvents, and mobile phase conditions.
The guard column is not metal-free. Guard columns are not recommended for compounds exhibiting ion suppression or coordination effects.
